► 4.3.2 Little Snitch
You can be concerned enough about Internet safety that you changed prefab rules, like requiring individual approval of domain access in Safari, instead of letting it use all those ports. You’ll have to allow sites and items referenced on sites one at a time as you visit, but that offers some people more piece of mind against unwanted Web-based trackers and even malware. For 15 Minutes WireShark, Fiddler or Charles can incorporate this functionality, if I am not wrong. Not sure how one would MITM SSL with WireShark, though. I think the name just throught the OP off. I too thought "Little Snitch" was a shady name. Pretty catchy though. Little Snitch is a firewall application and, as you may know, your Mac has a built-in firewall that you can turn on and use to quietly block unauthorized incoming network connections. So why buy a separate app if you already have something built-in? The answer is simple: Little Snitch does more than just block or allow incoming network connections. It gives you detailed information on all your network communication, whether it's from the outside world coming into your Mac or it's being sent from your Mac to anywhere on the internet. A bit of a learning curve for novice users to utilize all the features

You may say: instead of charging $40, charge $80 and don't track me!
While the Trend Micro researchers specifically mentioned Gatekeeper as one of the protections the EXE may be designed to bypass, Thomas Reed, director of Mac offerings at Malwarebytes, said definitively that there's no such bypass taking place. Patrick Wardle, a macOS security expert and chief research officer at Digita Security, agreed. They say there's no bypass because the EXE's main delivery mechanism is a standard machO binary that Gatekeeper inspects and will block if it's unsigned or has a revoked certificate.
I wish something like this could run at the router level. I am certain my low-end IoT devices are sending out data I don't know about.

Wow, that's amazing. Apple should buy them and make this feature default :-)
Security Growler is a menu bar based application that sends you notifications whenever one of its monitored patterns have a log update. One thing that sets it apart from other applications, Prowl which sends you notifications over your iPhone and iPad.
If Little Snitch is listening, please do this. I would be willing to pay more.
